Coach Vance Lemley

Vance has been coaching for over 30 years, having coached at Mt. Hood Summer Camps for over 20 years.  Vance was also the head coach at Schweitzer Mountain for 12 years and at Kirkwood Ski Resort for 3 years.  Vance is also a top PSIA instructor and has been a PSIA Examiner for over 22 years.  Since 1992 to the present, he is a Trainer/Instructor at Aspen Ski School.

I've attended this camp since the first camp in 1974.  Althought it's advertised as a RACE camp, it should be called a SKIER'S IMPROVEMENT CAMP.  Come and experience the camaraderie, the skill building, coaching and become a better skier in all conditions.

Doug Smith

Doug doesn't claim to be a coach ... he's the guy that puts it all together.  Doug is the regional Rossignol Rep and has been organizing the Rossi Camp for a lot of years (we won't mention how many).  He arranges the demo skis at camp, helps set and slip the courses for everyone.  He's always around the corner with a big smile and a twinkle in his eyes, successfully making sure that everyone is having the time of their life.  And if he does say something about your skiing, listen - he knows more than he lets on!

Jim Lindsay

Our Boot Expert.  As Jim will tell you, sometimes the problem IS your equipment - your boots, that is.  Jim will entertain you as he educates you on how your boots aid or interfere with your pursuit of performance skiing.   Jim is the owner/operator of BOOTech, Inc. in Aspen, Colorado where he works on "serious boot alignment for serious skiers," fitting boots for some of the best skiers in the country from racers to ski instructors and folks just like you!

Mark Tache and Christen Cooper

At the Rossi Camp, you never know when a celebrity is going to show up and ski with everyone.  In 2012, the campers were thrilled to spend severals days with former US Ski Team Members and Olympians Christen Cooper and Mark Tache.

Formerly, Mark was the Rossi Camp head coach and Christen was a camp coach.  Many camp participants were thrilled to ski with their former coaches again!
